Weekly update: Linlithgow AC nominated for top award

Linlithgow Athletic Club members attended the recent FPSG Scottish Athletics and Jog Scotland Annual Awards Dinner. The Club was shortlisted for the ‘Impact Club of the Year’ award. Although the award went to Harmeny Athletic Club, it was a fantastic honour for the club to receive the nomination and be present at this glittering award ceremony which celebrated all this year’s achievements by Scottish Athletics clubs and individuals. The nomination was in recognition of all the work that the club has done this year. Membership has been increased by 20%, the club has increased its volunteer coach base allowing consolidation of many years of commitment in providing an athletics experience for the town’s young people as well as increasing the coaching provision for adult athletes. Along with the incredibly successful Jog Scotland beginner’s group ‘Let’s Go Linlithgow’ and of course record entries for the 27th Linlithgow 10k and fun run events, it really has been a bumper year for the club!

The celebrations will continue at the Burgh Halls on Saturday 14th December, when the club will celebrate its 40th anniversary. All members, friends and of course ex-members are welcome. Book your tickets here.
