Weekly Update: Hel' n Back trail race, Scottish Half and Parkrun!

Helensburgh “Hel’ n Back” trail race

Scott Hyslop ran his first race for some time on Saturday in his home town of Helensburgh. From Hel' n Back, a 12.5km trail using part of the Three Lochs Way and the John Muir Way, was organised by Helensburgh Athletic Club.  The sunshine helped make the hilly route (1253ft elevation) with its great views of The Clyde, The Arrochar Alps, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs, really stunning.  Scott finished in 1:02:25.

Scottish Half Marathon

On Sunday, Jennifer Newton ran the Scottish Half Marathon and achieved a PB of 1:43:36 and was 7th VW50.
