Linlithgow runners headed west and north-east in the past week.
Kyles 10 Miles
Roddy Simpson and Bryan Grome ran the scenic Kyles 10 Miles at Tighnabruaich on Saturday and although ‘undulating’ it is a race to be recommended. Roddy finished in 1:32:03 and Bryan, having prepared by running the last 43 miles of the West Highland Way on Monday and Tuesday, in 1:27:33.
Paul Ward and David Dalmau were in Aberdeenshire on Sunday. They ran the HalfBraemarAthon, another undulating race, a scenic out-and-back half marathon, starting and finishing at Braemar Stadium. Paul finished an excellent 7th overall and 5th Male Veteran in 1:37:00, only to be trumped by David who hit the podium, finishing 2nd overall and 1st Male Veteran 1:30:11.
