More hot running: Linlithgow Athletic Club Weekly Roundup

LINLITHGOW ATHLETIC CLUB WEEKLY ROUNDUP

It’s been another week when Linlithgow Athletic Club runners were competing against the heat as well as their rival runners.  On Tuesday, Graeme Wilkinson ran Bridges of the Tyne 5 mile road race, along the Newcastle side of the Tyne and achieved a PB of 36:01.

Bryan Grome ran a very hot and humid Decathlon 5k at the Meadows, Edinburgh, on Saturday in 26:17.

On the same day, Martin Maginnis travelled to the Forres Highland games, running the 10k race, a challenging route running up hill for the first 3 miles made tougher by the 22 degrees heat, in 48:06.

Linlithgow athletes also ran in five parkruns on Saturday.  Prior to running at the Elgin Highland Games, Martin Maginnis finished Elgin parkrun in 20:51 (4th overall and an all-parkrun PB).  David Main-Reade ran Fort William in 24:54 (1st VM45).  At Falkirk Alex Wood finished in 26:01 (3rd VM65) and Ian Boxall in 26:45.  Scott Cumming completed Edinburgh in 24:19 and Ali Malone finished in 21:57.  Neil Anderson tail-walked Ganavan Sands in 50:49.
